Appearance and Wardrobe

Dante stands at around six feet and with a more rounded face, a small scar going across his right eyebrow and cheek, and his eye color seems to be grey-blue. His hair is black, with the sides of his head shaved, forming a mohawk out of the hair at the top of his head, tapering off into a point at the nape of his neck. As the game progresses, the hair at the back of his head can be seen changing permanently white. He also sports a strange glowing tattoo on his back between his shoulder blades. In one trailer, this tattoo glows briefly and heals scars he has on his back, and during gameplay it can be seen through his coat as he switches to an angelic or demonic weapon, which is also accompanied by a blue or red color.

His attire consists of a black, 3/4-length, hooded leather jacket with red interior linings and the British Union flag sewn on the left arm, a gray tanktop, black fingerless gloves, black faded jeans, black military boots, and a necklace reminiscent of half of the Perfect Amulet that features prominently throughout the series. His sword is slung over his back favoring his left hand, and his pistols are placed in holsters at the back of his waist, under his coat. Dante also seems to be ambidextrous, favoring either hand for melee attacks with his weapons.

When Dante uses Devil Trigger, his hair is flushed completely white, his coat becomes bright red, his eyes become red with white irises and small vein-like cracks run across his skin. These effects fade when Devil Trigger deactivates, but after his final battle his hair remained white permanently.

Permissions

[OOC]
This is the permissions list for OOC (out of character), activity.
Answer the following questions with "yes" or "no", as well as additional information if desired.

Backtagging: Yes, always. I tend to be sort of slow so I am always willing to backtag!
Threadhopping: So long as it is okayed by all other parties!
Fourthwalling: No. Don't.
Offensive subjects (elaborate): None, but if any come up I will let you know!

[IC]
Hugging this character: Sure, he might not hug back right away and even then it might be awkward...unless he's gotten close to your character.
Kissing this character: Totally.
Flirting with this character: YES, he will more than likely flirt right back.
Sex with this character: Ha...well going by the opening of the game and how he chooses to live his life he is in fact sexually active. He doesn't need to have much of a connection to a character to be willing to have sex. To him it's just a pleasurable act that benefits both people. So yeah, though I don't tend to RP sexual scenes. I am totally willing to fade to black or hand wave things!
Fighting with this character: FIGHT ME! I mean...yeah sure, you could fight him. Just expect him to fight back, and he sort of fights dirty when he can. Just a fair warning.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Sure, though anything permanent please ask first. For the most part Dante can heal just about anything.
Killing this character: Ask first please.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Asking first is great, he's not exactly the best at keeping his thoughts quiet but he might get upset if he finds out there's someone in there reading his thoughts.

Warnings: Dante is brash, vulgar, and can be kind of lewd. Also violent. Just a heads up he curses a lot more than most characters that I play.

Abilities and Weapons

Dante has a few abilities and no less than 8-9 different weapons, all of which are listed here with links to their appearances.

  • Healing Factor: Because of his Nephilim heritage Dante has increased healing, though it is still possible to kill him it would take a lot of damage to either his heart or possibly also his brain.
  • Immunity to Human Illness: Being a Nephilim Dante is immune to all human illnesses. He was told as a child that he got meningitis and lost his memory, however this proved to be a lie.
  • Devil Trigger: Once this is activated Dante's hair goes pure white and his eyes glow red. Add to that he can slow time and launch lesser demons into the air, where they float helplessly. Like most incarnations of Devil Trigger, it also grants him increased strength and endurance while regenerating his Vitality for as long as he maintains the state.

Rebellion:
Dante's main melee weapon and was given to Dante as a memento of his father, Sparda, so that he could protect himself from the demonic hordes that he battles. As Rebellion is connected to Dante's hybrid heritage, it also has the ability to shift into different weapons on the fly, allowing Dante to use multiple weapons.

Rebellion is linked to the glowing insignia on his back, which also flashes whenever the sword changes to another weapon.

Osiris:
Dante's first angelic form for the Rebellion. It is a light, speedy scythe that is both powerful and reliable. It specializes in aerial attacks and its abilities are centered around giving Dante weightlessness and agility in order to move through the air and traverse the environment with ease.

Osiris is a large scythe with a light blue hue to it, which represents its angelic nature. The blade is long and curved, coming off the tip of the snaith at its heel. The snaith itself looks to be made out of wood, and it has two grips protruding from opposite ends that resemble whittled branches. Dante uses these handles to help him spin the weapon while he attacks. The pommel on the bottom of the snaith is the same as the grip of his Rebellion, owing to the weapon's shape-shifting ability. When it is used to attack, it leaves behind a light blue streak in its wake, similar to the color of the weapon.

Aquila:
The Aquila is an Angelic form of the Rebellion. They are a set of shuriken-like blades that emit energy waves during attacks, and greatly increases Dante's attack speed. Dante acquires them after defeating Bob Barbas.

Aquila resembles a pair of large, three-pointed cyclone blades with curved edges, held in each hand. As an angel weapon, they have a light blue tint. This is one of the few weapons that holds little resemblance to the Rebellion.

Arbiter:
Dante's first demonic weapon. A weapon of great heft, it crushes almost anything with its thunderous strikes.

Arbiter is an oversized battleaxe with a red-and-black color scheme. The red blade is large and curves over some of the shaft as many bearded axes do. The grip is the same as his Rebellion, owing to the weapon's shape-shifting quality. When it is used to attack, it leaves behind a dark red streak in its wake, and an eruption of red and orange sparks as it hits the ground.

Eryx:
Eryx is one of Dante's demon weapons. They are a pair of magical gauntlets that provide Dante with sheer brute force and increase his already formidable strength. Dante awakens this weapon once he kills Poison.

The Eryx gauntlets are a demonic weapon. As such, they glow a demonic red. They look like disproportionately swollen metal fists or large boxing gloves. At the forearms, the weapon resembles the grip of Dante's Rebellion, with its spiral engravings, owing to the weapon's shape-shifting quality. When in use, the Eryx leave behind a fiery trail and a small explosion upon impact, and at higher charge levels, is accompanied by large spectral fists when attacking.

Ophion:
Earned once Dante first journeys into his soul, Ophion is an extremely resourceful tool for both combat and exploration, and has both a Demonic and Angelic form.

Ophion has two distinct designs: While in Angel mode, it resembles a white chain with a snake-like head coming out of Rebellion's grip, complete with a jaw that clasps onto targets. While in Demon mode, it resembles a grappling hook made from a black chain-like cord with a red, claw-shaped head, which is connected to a spool near Rebellion's grip.

Ebony & Ivory:
Ebony & Ivory are Dante's trademark pistols. While they lack strength, Dante's ability to pull the triggers with inhuman speed as well as his enhanced dexterity make them versatile weapons for any range and orientation.

Both weapons have the same design, with Ebony as the black pistol, and Ivory as the white. The pistols resemble Desert Eagles, with stylized grips twisting into sharp points. Just like in the previous games, the weapons never need to be reloaded, and most likely can't, for they lack a magazine release or any sort of detachable magazines. Near the bore of each pistol are engravings of scrollwork, and each also sports a ring hammer.

Revenant:
The Revenant is a shotgun and as such it lacks the speed of Ebony & Ivory, but offers much more power and better crowd control options.

The Revenant is a hunting shotgun with a sawn-off bore. It has no stock, only a simple grip, with an engraved frame underlining the barrel. Unlike the classic Shotgun, it is not exactly the same break-loading style, and its spent shells eject upon firing.

Kablooey:
The Kablooey is a firearm which fires explosive charges that stick to its targets. In the human world, it looks like a simple tazer.
